Once again it was time to hit the stage and take the mic as a conference host. The Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb became the venue for the Croatian Translation Forum held on 5 November.
Organised by CATA-HUPA, this unique event attracted various professionals from a variety of areas of the language industry. Translators from agencies and freelancers, linguists, IT experts and representatives from the region of Southeast Europe united for a productive day.
The aim of the forum pinpoints and promotes best practice examples in supplying language services. Equally to develop and protect economic interests of the translation industry. At the same time the event became a platform to promote quality standards and raising the quality of agency translation.
The full-day program featured a series of valuable sessions held by leading experts from the region and Europe. Furthermore the content covered a wealth of hot topics and meaningful issues of the translation industry – ready to be discussed.
As the day unfolded, speakers shared insights on the future of the industry, technological, market trends and social media. There were also presentations on the highlighted cooperation and academic institutions. Finally, this first compact event which attracted around 100 attendees from across Europe was a great success. An intriguing event great to be a part of as their conference host.
